  21. Yup... Be happy you get 26.4.... It's almost always the phone line quality
  22. that determines your max connect rate. I can connect at 31.2K to ONE and
  23. only ONE site but get 28.8K everywhere else locally. When I call long
  24. distance it's much more of a crap shoot and I get from 19.2 all the way up
  25. to 28.8K.. The modem does its best to milk every possible bit of speed out
  26. of the phone line.
